Reallon is a tiny resort with restricted but rewarding skiing. Reallon is located 30 kilometres east of Gap on the edge of the Ecrins National Park. Turn of the D94 at Chorges 17 kilometres east of Gap and follow the D9 northeast, for 13 kilometres, signed Station Reallon. Alternatively if travelling south from Briancon leave the N94 at Savines after crossing the bridge over Lac de Serre Poncon and follow signs for Station Reallon.

Two chairlifts and five tows give access to 30km of varied and interesting skiing in a pleasant and charming mountain setting. Being a small resort facilities are limited but more than adequate for the few other skiers that were there when we visited last season, (2007). There is no official aire but I would envisage no problems in staying put in the car park for a night or two. Alternatively there is a campsite, open in winter in Reallon village, (Camping Municipal de L’Iscle) some 7km from the ski area. Also available is an aire in Chorges 13km from the slopes. The aire is situated close to the town centre, (follow signs), has ample parking on two levels, with access to water, WC and toilet emptying facilities. The town centre has a full range of shops and services and is only two or three minutes walk away.

Reallon is a quiet and friendly resort with the locals seemingly genuinely pleased, (and certainly surprised) to find people other than themselves enjoying the skiing.
